March 15 2023!

Woke up really early and took the bullet train to osaka! Took us awhile to figure out transit again but we got it eventually! Taxi’d right away to universal studios!

As soon as we got into universal we looked for passes to get into super Mario world there and the only available passes were for 7:00 pm. It wasn’t ideal since we had to check into our hostel at 10:00 and it took 25 minutes to get there by taxi. Plus we couldn’t leave the park cause otherwise our tickets would’ve been revoked.

So we spent the whole day there! Had a lot of anime featured which was cool to see! Jujutsu Kaisen, spyxfamily, and detective Conan were featured there! Got an Anya headband! Unfortunately we were to late to sign up for the scavenger hunt but it was cool to see it!

We got hubby a monster hunter headband and we picked up an extra pikachu headband since pokemon was featured there as well! We got some pokemon themed food with a squirtle churro, pikachu hot pocket and Bulbasaur slushie!

We walked around to all the different areas of the park! Tried the minion ride! It gave me motion sickness again but hubby loved it!

Lines were absolutely huge! There was another parade which was really cool! We got in line for some Mario themed treats which were delicious!

Hung around some benches for awhile and just chilled with each other! Made some jokes and had some laughs which was fun.

We weren’t sure if super Mario land was gonna be worth the wait but it absolutely was! The designs were incredible and creative. We wish we had more time to spend there but we’re hoping we might be able to next time!

We went on the Yoshi ride which was really cute! We interacted with a bunch of parts from the park too!

We made it to an authentic Japanese hostel and got to sleep on tatami floors and futons! It was so comfy and nice especially after a long day! We passed out really early.

Hubby got so many compliments on a takoyaki shirt he owned! Everyones face would light up when they saw his shirt!
